Getting unplugged
May 28th, 2010 by Kendall
I spent the last week unplugged from all technology. What I experienced during the week was profound, as it caused me to address a fear that runs deep for many of you. I call it the “what will I be missing” fear and this is the fear that keeps many of you glued to Twitter, obsessively checking email and carrying your cell phone with you everywhere, a grownup’s version of a security blanket.
I was traveling cross country last week, on a personal trip of great importance to me. During the trip I knew I would need to make a very important decision. The kind of decision that would impact the direction of my life. This was not something to take lightly. A lot of mo.ney was at stake and a lot of my heart and emotion were on the line. I knew that to connect to Source energy so that I could make the right decisions, I had to keep my mind and energy clear, focused and not allow myself to get distracted attending to other peoples’ needs, even including my business.
At the last minute I chose to leave my cute little purple laptop at home, giving myself the space and freedom to be unplugged. The first day I found myself calling Richard, asking him to check my email for me. By day two, I stopped myself from even doing that and instead, noticed my discomfort in not being plugged in.
By day three, I barely felt the pull and instead, focused on FEELING connected. Arriving home at the end of the week, I resisted the urge to “catch up” with email. The computer stayed off while I continued to rejuvenate and finalize the decisions I’d made earlier in the week. The result has been illuminating! The ideas and energy I now have access to, simply by not letting my energy get consumed by feeling as if I’m missing out, has allowed me to make powerful decisions with clarity and purpose. I feel greater access to my intuition and today, as a coach, I kicked butt, taking my coaching mastery to a whole new level.
I plan on taking many more technology breaks throughout the summer as I move forward with writing a new book and launching important, new, transformational programs. I can’t wait!

Is your business connected with your Spirituality
April 22nd, 2010 by Kendall
You may have noticed that my marketing articles have taken on an even more spiritual voice. I’ve always believed that how we are on the inside is reflected in our business. What’s different is that I can no longer keep secret just HOW powerfully our spiritual path is connected with our business success.
I still enjoy teaching how to market and how to make more money, but I can no longer only give you the information without also sharing with you what makes me tick…and what makes you tick as well.
I now make more in one month than I used to make in a year. Yes, I do the marketing. But even more importantly, I keep peeling back the leaves of the artichoke. It isn’t always pretty and it isn’t always comfortable but what I trust is this:
- The more I reveal MY authenticity, the more you have permission to reveal YOURS
- The more I share openly about what it takes to have a successful business the more you can relax, knowing that NOT being perfect is…perfect
- The more I can connect with you on a heart level, the more I can mentor and teach you how to stand in your power as the beautiful, confident, successful woman entrepreneur you were born to be.
So, stay connected with me. Make a commitment to read this newsletter every week. Attend my free calls. Post comments or questions on my blog. You’re on a journey of transforming your income, your confidence and your capacity to help many, many more people than you are currently. I’m here to help mentor and teach you HOW to gain momentum on your journey. Think of me as the river that will carry you forward and you’ll see results that surprise and delight you.
I can’t wait! (-:Posted in Personal Reflections • 2 Comments » • Subscribe to this feed
Business Coaching Secrets
April 21st, 2010 by Kendall
This is the ONLY time I’ve ever published a photo that didn’t include a horse or a human, but this photo so struck me that I knew I had to share it with you. I snapped it over the weekend, where I was attending a closed-door retreat with my spiritual mentor, Barbara De Angelis.
This labyrinth perfectly depicts the entrepreneurial woman’s journey. It’s full of twists, turns and switchbacks. If you’ve ever walked a labyrinth then you know there is a moment where you feel as if you are lost, not sure if you’re actually on the path or that you may have missed a turn somewhere. But when you keep in motion and you trust that you ARE moving forward, you suddenly see how far you’ve come. I suggest you apply this wisdom to the journey you’re on as an entrepreneur so that you continue to have courage, to stay in motion and to connect with the mentors and teachers who will help you on this incredible journey.

Step into your Power
February 8th, 2010 by Kendall
Power isn’t a word many women feel connected to. They think of it as power OVER others, instead of what it really is, which is power WITHIN themselves.
You have the power of choice, the power of decision and the power to make a conscious choice that today is the day that you step into your power.
Afraid what others will think of you if you do? Don’t be…the people who truly love you want you to be fully in your glory.
Afraid of who you’ll be if you really step into your power? Don’t be…it’s already within you and you’re hiding out doesn’t make it not so.
My advice? Pick one specific area of your life or business in which you want to be in your power. How does someone who is already standing in her power act in that area? What does someone who is already in her power believe?
Take it from someone who knows, standing in your power is a lot less work and a lot easier than hiding out, pretending to be anything less than your amazing, magnificent self!
