I’m often asked, “Kendall, HOW do you launch so many new programs and products so quickly, without going bananas?” They think I must work bazillion hours or have an army of team working feverishly around the clock. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Which is good news for you, because it means that once I share with you how I implement, fast — and without overwhelm — you can do the same in your business.

But first, let me reveal WHY it’s vitally important that you master the skill of fast implementation. Implementing faster means you:

  • Spend less time spinning your wheels, fretting over details and angsting over every little decision. The energetic savings of this alone makes fast implementation a thing of beauty.
  • Launch more offers throughout the year to your peeps, resulting in greater cash flow and income flowing in to you. Think of what this would mean for you, your business and your loved ones.
  • Get noticed by others, resulting in increased credibility, lucrative joint venture offers and more.
  • Create security, peace and freedom because you’ve created a business you can “bank on.”

The beauty of a “lifestyle” business is that by learning how to implement faster, you can spend more time off doing the other things you love, all while your income keeps flowing in. Here are three of my favorite tips to help you achieve this, by implementing faster, and without overwhelm…

Tip #1 Take The “What If Your Life Depended On It” Approach

If your life depended upon doubling the number of offers you would normally launch this year, what would you do differently? I bet you immediately thought of something, right?

See, the thing is, we often fill our time with fluff…things that seem important but upon closer examination, don’t contribute any real value to the quality of our life, to our ability to help others or to our income. Taking the “What if your life depended on it” approach will help you instantly get clear on what matters and what doesn’t, liberating you to say “no” to people, tasks and projects that suck up your time and energy and gifts.

Tip #2 Add Up What Is At Stake

How much would it mean to you if you were to launch even just two new offers this year? For example: let’s say you offer a teleseminar with eight people in it, each paying $497. That’s nearly $4,000 for each course. Multiply that by two and you now have nearly $8,000 in additional income. When you compare $8,000 to your to-do list, is there anything on it that is worth as much? Not likely.

Tip #3 Where You Spend Your Time Predicts Your Results

I take the approach that anything that doesn’t add income to my business doesn’t get my attention. Period. This mindset may sound “all business” but in truth, it serves my passion and purpose in a big way.

That’s because I know that the more I’m focused on serving others, the more my income increases. If I delay in offering new programs or products, I’m not helping the number of people I’m meant to serve.

So, instead of spending time trying to do everything myself, tolerating poor performance from team or contractors, or waiting on people who take too long to get things done , I focus my energy, time and resources on hiring the best people I can find, then clearly setting the expectation that I want quick results. I also delegate everything technical to others (tasks such as managing the shopping cart, broadcasting emails, setting up product codes…you get the idea) while I focus my time doing what I do best. With short deadlines and a clearly outlined task calendar, everyone knows what they’re supposed to do, and by when…including me!

Focus is like a muscle, that once developed, will serve you for the rest of your life. Here’s one last tip to get started: Replace your long, tedious to-do list with a short list of which projects you’re going to launch. Include the start and end date and the amount of income you expect to make for each one. Add up those numbers and I think you’ll find yourself motivated to get the help and support you need to make this year the one where you surprise yourself in how much you get done!

  1. I absolutely LOVE these ideas. One of the problems our new faith-based coaches have is over-thinking their products and offerings and fixing, fixing, fixing so launches are rare rather than regular.
They tell me they don’t want to launch until it’s perfect in seeking excellence when in fact, they fail to see how few people they can actually help when they either delay or fail to launch at all.
As a support person, I am so glad you wrote this article so that I can make some of these suggestions when I see people get bogged down.

  2. Hi there Kendall, this is Bernadette from Australia and I love your work. In the past 30 minutes since reading this, I have literally created a list of potential women I will partner with for workshops. That has therefore spurred me on to create a new product to sell at back of stage. As I help women in home-based businesses become more marketing without spending a fortune, I can share this idea and activity with them easily.
    Thanks and chat soon. B

  3. Thank you for this timely reminder. I have at least 2 products that I should be working on and yet haven’t got round to doing. I am going to work out my time line for the launch and make it simply “not negotiable”!

  4. Hi Kendall,

There certainly is magic between the pen and the paper. I have thought of a very low cost product to sell on my site to come in at the top of my funnel just below my free report. Now just have to work on what could be higher priced products.

Thanks for all you info. Kendall.

  6. Kendall,as usual, you cut to the chase! This post is so perfect for me today. Just before I read this blog post of yours I had decided to sit down and really prioritize my business tasks around monetizing. Now I can really bang out the programs I’ve been planning instead of spending too much time overthinking. Thanks!! I love the work you’re doing!!

  7. Thanks, Kendall,

These are great suggestions. I think “focus” is the operational word. Since we women are so talented with multitasking, our focus muscles get flabbish. Plus there’s so much clutter in the environment — all the little things screaming for our attention. Take care!

  8. Hi Kendall,

Thank you for sharing with your readers the value of outsourcing their administrative workload to others. As an entrepreneur, your time is valuable and best spent on income-producing projects and generating more business. One of the best investments an entrepreneur can make in their business is to work with a professional Virtual Assistant who can implement your ideas and take the steps required to achieve your vision. My clients know that an investment in productivity pays dividends to them far beyond what they pay for my services.

You touched on this and it says so much: “Do what you do best, and delegate the rest.”

Thank you for all the great work you are doing!

  9. Hi Kendall - I save ALL your articles. Your advice has really helped me changed the way I run my business and I love the powerful results I’m seeing.

This article is no exception. I just made a list of what I WON’T be doing anymore to give myself even more time to launch new stuff.

Thanks again SO much for being so generous with your wisdom.

  10. Hi Kendall, thank you so much for this advice. You do hit the nail on the head, I “preach” time management for a living and yet need a good knock on the head myself from time to time.

  11. Hi Kendall - This is fabulous advice! I myself am an Entrepreneur Assistant so I spend lots of time helping Entrepreneurs streamline their focus by taking things off their desk. But I am also an entrepreneur myself and this makes it clearer to me than ever that I have to take my own advice and delegate out the workload associated with running my business and focus my time on my clients. Thanks so much for making it crystal clear!

  12. I like the “what if your life depended on it” approach. That’ll get me moving!

  13. Thanks Kendall: the idea of creating my “to do” list around “if my life depended on it” completely refocuses my entire list. I’ve recently re-launched and re-focused my business so that I can concentrate on helping entrepreneurial women with their marketing. I take a very holistic view of marketing, so I seem to have spent all my time lately making sure I’m communicating that and doing my own marketing. But, the things that aren’t getting done are a series of audio programmes that I KNOW will be really helpful to my market…they always seem to fall down my list.

No more! Selling stuff (I may have a passion for what I do, but I still need to pay the mortgage!) IS the lifeblood of my business, and actually my family. My husband works silly hours and I really want him out of that nasty, political, insecure and exhausting environment.

For some ridiculous reason (even though I coach others on exactly this point - doh!) I hadn’t connected up the dots…producing my audio programmes will mean I have something easy for people to buy, rather than hopping straight onto one of my coaching programmes or booking me for consultancy. And that means my husband is a little nearer to getting his life back - and my kids are nearer to getting their daddy back home every day.

As you say - does my life depend on these products? Yes, absolutely.

Off to plan my first audio…
    Kim.

  14. Love this! I have already launched 2 new things this year and have the next 3 planned out. I find that with myself and my clients that once it is planned and on paper you can stop worrying about it and just work the plan. The “what needs to be done next?” process takes a lot of stress out of it.

I’m now more motivated to get it done and to enjoy the power of focus.
