Are Your Potential Clients Scared To Invest In Themselves?

If you market primarily to women business owners you’re probably finding many of them hesitant right now to invest in themselves.

Even though they KNOW they need help, they talk themselves out of opening up their purse.

While it’s tempting to blame the economy, that’s NOT the problem. The problem is that underneath the surface, many women business owners struggle with one crucial element needed for success, which is…

Believing in themselves.

Not believing in herself sounds like “Gee, this isn’t the right time,” “I’ve got a lot going on right now,” “I’m not sure this will work for me,” or “Once I get my kids/husband/clients taken care of then I can look at doing this.”

Statements like these are a smoke screen for a secret fear that they’re not good enough or that they don’t have the “right” to step up in a big way (I call this the “Who am I” syndrome).

If you’re a women business owner and you find yourself saying those same kinds of things then it’s time to kick that nasty little demon of self-doubt squarely in the butt and send him on his way.

Here’s what I recommend you can do:

1. Remember that doubt isn’t truth. It’s just a sign there’s a part of you that feels like a little girl who needs some reassurance.

2. Remember that if you’re doubting yourself it’s a sure sign that the thing/course/program/workshop you’re trying to talk yourself out of doing is the very thing you MUST do. The level of doubt you feel is in exact proportion to how strong your desire is for what it is that you’re resisting. The greater the doubt, the stronger the desire. Pay attention to the desire, not the doubt.

3. Remember that self-doubt comes from the logical, left brain part of us that wants everything to stay status quo. Thing is, if you’re not growing, you’re dying so best to listen to your right brain, intuitive self and say, “Yes!” to what is calling to you.

The more you decide and take action from a place of confidence, self-assurance and powerful authenticity, the more you can compassionately lead your potential clients towards listening to their desire instead of to their fear. Remember that what women business owners want most is to serve, help others and feel they’ve made an impact.

Surround yourself with people who inspire confidence and are leaders living an authentic life. Participate in coaching programs and opportunities that help you learn how-to strategies for creating programs and packages clients want and will pay for. The more you invest in YOURSELF the more you’ll find your potential clients wanting to invest in YOU.
