I know how much you love seeing pics of special horses in my life so here’s one of “Smoking Joe,” a very special rescue horse my business sponsors as part of our “give-back and grow” philosophy of business.
Joe is now owned by Equine Voices Sanctuary outside of Tucson. You’ll notice how thin he is, but believe me, he’s gained a lot since the big-hearted gals at the Sanctuary took him in. Seems that Joe’s owner was angry with his girlfriend for moving out and decided to inflict his anger on Joe, as he was “her” horse. Luckily, he was reported to authorities, who stepped in and arranged for Joe to be adopted by Equine Voices. When I saw his big, gorgeous soulful eyes, I knew he was the next horse for us to sponsor (this makes two). I am so grateful our sponsorship helps buy Joe his hay and treats!
