Isn’t she beautiful? That’s Kachina, a draft horse mare my business has sponsored all year, contributing towards her monthly hay, grain and “horsey pedicures” (AKA hoof trims). Kachina is an amazing survivor, having lived through horrific treatment at the hands of brutes. Fortunately, she’s now safely stabled at a rescue barn not far from Tucson, where she is lovingly cared for, waiting to find a forever home.
