I’m ready to bring it all together THE RIGHT WAY, create even more products (and actually do something with them, instead of letting my ideas sit here like they have no life!) I read your email about this scholarship and knew that this was the Universe’s way of answering my request to attend your phenomenal weekend. My desire and commitment are already there, and with the help of your scholarship, now the finances are there, too! I recently founded The Infinite U, LLC and feel infinitely blessed to be so connected to my life purpose. The Infinite U brings yoga, movement and meditation to children, including mainstream kids, kids on the autism spectrum (and their siblings and parents), and those with other special needs. I believe that sharing the gift of yoga with kids is like offering them the key to the door of their heart, unlocking their infinite potential, love and wisdom within.
Through my classes, children learn the joy of movement, are given tools for breathing through life, are empowered to trust in who they are, to feel connected, body, mind and spirit, and realize that they are already whole, complete and perfect. One of the greatest joys in my life is connecting with children in this deeply profound and powerful way. Children deserve to be given the tools they need to live their best lives!
As a new business owner with a passion for sharing the gifts of yoga with children, this scholarship will give me the tools I need to reach greater numbers of the world’s children. Hi Kendall,
Thank you for this opportunity. For the past two years I have worked with a wonderful team to develop a truly unique website and lifestyle concept called peacefulday.com. Peacefulday is a virtual world of interactive zen-like activities designed for relaxation, creativity and fun. It’s purpose is to provide an online sanctuary for members that they can visit at any time to take a break, de-stress and find inspiration and clarity, whether it be through creative play or writing and meditation. The activities offered on the site- a zen rock garden for raking, a koi pond for meditation and reflection, and a temple (which you can decorate yourself) containing an easel for painting, a firepit for releasing negative energy, a journal for writing and goal setting, and a messenger bird for sending out thoughts, good wishes and thanks to others- are all tried and true techniques for obtaining clarity, inner peace, and a strong connection to one’s own inner guidance system. I myself use these types of tools on a regular basis and thought it would be fantastic to put them altogether someplace that was easy and convenient!
We launched the site a few months ago, and so are definitely still in start up phase. The basic membership, which includes unlimited access to the activities described above, is a very low price, primarily because I want the site to be affordable to anyone who wants it (sorry, I’m an aquarian, I can’t help myself ). But I do realize that even many, many subscribers at the basic subscription rate is not going to produce the income I want or need, so in addition to needing to learn the best way to get the word out and build a solid basic membership, I need to know how to create those multiple streams of income with this website. I also need to know how to offer more levels of membership and develop a “cascading plan”- I have some ideas of offering different membership programs for those who want more guidance with the site, but need clarity on the best way to create these programs, and other products that would fit with the site. I would use everything I learn at the intensive, along with the templates and my money archetype (can’t wait to find that out) to help achieve my 12 month goals of making fantastic money and having a thriving (and happy) membership. I also want to be having fun- lots of it!
I have listened to several of your audios and find everything you say to be highly intelligent, and I like your style and sense of humor.

I am in the start-up phase of my business. I never have had a lack of ideas in my head, only a lack of guidance as to how to implement my ideas. I have a very big vision for my business and huge goals for my own growth as well as for the futures of my husband and children. My company is to be named “Jack’s Daughter.” Jack was my alcoholic father and when I got pregnant at fifteen years of age (by a man nine years older than me), no one in my dad’s side of the family ever said my name. It was always “Jack’s Daughter got herself pregnant,” or, “Jack’s Daughter really screwed up.” I continued to have low self esteem and make bad choices for quite a few years. The funny thing is, I was always in honors classes, on sports teams and even sang solo’s in my high school choir. I wasn’t a bad kid. I just wanted male attention that I had not received by my alcoholic father or introverted step-father. I had three sons by the time I was twenty-two. My self-esteem lows had long since turned into severe depression and anxiety. I was blessed to have the help of my mom, my younger sisters, and my grandmothers. They stood by me through all of my rebellion and misguided anger. I had just given up the search for the perfect guy when I found Alejandro, who became my husband and the step-father to my three boys. We have been inseparable for the last nine years. We have three sons together and if you are keeping track, I have six sons!
My husband has helped me break through seventeen years of severe depression. I am back on the road to success and I want to touch the world through coaching, workshop experiences, and with my writing. I will empower our youth to break the cycle of teen and unplanned pregnancy. I can do this by teaching family communication, providing the skills necessary for self esteem growth, and sparking the fire of responsibility and respect. Girls and boys alike will learn to look to the future to decide what steps they should take in the present. The message is to look inside, be true to themselves and go for their dreams.
I will open up a local center within the next twelve months where parents and children can learn self discovery and to take hold of their ambition and make their dreams a reality through smart choices and attitudes. I will teach life skills and positive thought through art and music. My goal is to entertain them to hold their attention while they learn. This is the new method that is necessary to compete with celebrities, musicians, and electronic devices that hold the world’s attention today. I will hold large visually, emotionally and actively stimulating workshops for youth and their parents. I will hold local and global classes and do presentations at schools, non-profit organizations, and youth groups. I will finish the book that I am writing about the experiences of teen parents and the real consequences that change their lives and the lives of the children born to them. Eventually, I would like to open centers in other cities and have them all run by responsible and committed couples who understand my vision and the important message of a “return to innocence” for our youth.
Attending MMSI will give me the tools I need and the guidance that I seek to move forward with my mission. I can not do this alone. I have the passion, the drive and the heart that this huge vision requires. I am seeking the skills and guidance that I need. I knew from the moment that I heard you speak during a free teleconference, Kendall, you were meant to be my mentor. I am ready to do whatever is necessary to learn from you and implement what you teach me. “Jack’s Daughter” is no longer someone that will be pushed around and talked about in a negative way. “Jack’s Daughter” is going to leave the world a little better than she found it. “Jack’s Daughter” is EVERY daughter.
I should be chosen as the winner because what I do today will make a difference in the lives of many. I want my husband to be able to work with me instead of doing back breaking physical labor. I want my children to see that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and take action. I want to have the means to send my kids to college or to help them realize their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs themselves. I should win because I have struggled financially for so long and I know that this is my ticket to financial freedom.

Well, except for the fact that on my path I EXPLORE in a dilapidated Plymouth Neon with no power steering, no air conditioning, and a cracked windshield. Oh and I see the path to FREEDOM through broken prescription glasses that only have one frame temple and one of the lenses is held in place by a staple and a piece of tape. Oh ya, and I DISCOVERED that EXPLORERS gain a little unwelcome weight by eating beans and rice for dinner on a very strict budget. (:

Midway through this Mercury retrograde I decide to unpack and file some boxes unopened since last years move…and rediscovered ten years of writings…seeing the start and stop, bits and pieces of what I want to share and teach left me feeling like I failed.

It didn’t matter that I finished my psych degree, was homemaker, wife and mother, healer; sent dear daughter off to college, staged, sold the house, moved and wrote some 255 blog posts. With tunnel vision nothing mattered- Virgo can get obsessive and Pisces just wants to stay in the dream.
Homemaker versus career woman were at each others throats- “stay home” “no go out in the world, do more”, welcome to my Saturn/Uranus opposition- sitting exactly on my Pisces Sun. With Mercury retrograde it’s been a ripe opportunity to start dissecting the thinking and reshaping the clay. Resistance has been keeping me company lately and I don’t like it one bit.
Yes finding the writings and the abandonment left me feeling hopeless. That dissolved into anger and frustration. That dissolved to grief then moved into acceptance. The energies feel multi-layered and words can’t seem to fit it all. I am in the middle of my own soul retrieval and soul remembering, my intention is to start taking concrete steps to make things manifest.
Dreaming big is great, but dreams need to be grounded to make them real; Kendall that’s what your program offers. I am well-trained in the “woo-woo” of it all, and now it’s time to make a shift, step into the stream.
Dreams don’t manifest in isolation, my soul longs to play with other business women who want to make a difference, and move through their fears by showing up and being real. I want to dig into my money consciousness; I love working with symbols and archetypes-that also attracts me to your work.
Help me create a platform from my skills in shamanism, astrology and marketing background based on the websites I have created http://www.newmoonjournal.com and http://www.marketingforhealers.com. I commit to finishing the book and illustrations by the spring 2010 so I can begin teaching and lecturing. Fine tune my soul’s work; embody the unlimited possibilities so I can share with my family and serve the community.

Where do I start? I don’t even know how I got here!
I was searching for inspiration the last few days as i’ve come to a point where I know something in my business needs to change.
I know that my intuition has had me surfing, though I was not expecting to find myself here contemplating jumping on a plane from London to Arizona!
When i stumbled on this blog post with information on the scholarship, I read the other posts. The voice that tells me ‘i’m not worthy’ had a field day on reading the other entries, who according to ‘the voice’ are really helping people with what they have planned for their businesses. Then the other voice, the one that knows the truth, recalled a recent thank-you email from the husband of one gift voucher recipient of a couple of years ago who wrote me “You have had a major impact in our lives and for that we are grateful. You bring an enormous amount of happiness and pleasure, not just in the styling experience but in the effects that go far beyond”. So i decided to put myself forward and write on the blog…
I am a personal stylist & shopper, from London, England. I absolutely love my work! I started my business 4 years ago, and I have seen it grow and evolve. I began it with a life coaches support, and I have maintained support over the years with various coaches and groups via tele classes and one to ones. The help and support I have gained has been invaluable. The last year though, I now realise, I have let this support slide, and my enthusiasm and flow has been on the slide too. I feel overwhelmed, have too many ideas, too many things I feel I ’should’ be doing. I have a newsletter finally up and running, a blog up and (sometimes!) running. I feel like i’m doing things ‘because I should’ as I need to make more money.
But my hearts not in it. I feel alone, and if i’m honest, bored. I just want to be with my clients! After returning from holiday a week ago I felt ready to get back in it, and reconnected to ideas and groups through teleclasses and downloaded audios. I felt re-inspired. I read e books and tip sheets. And I decided that I wanted to get some help again and a brand new coach. I remembered that I didn’t need to do this alone… duh!!! I want a new start for the next phase. and the next phase for me, in a nutshell, is….. more money! It feels greedy and selfish to say… But I know its not and that that thought holds the key to the problem!
I have a great business, great clients, but not enough income. What i’ve made, i’ve put back in. I am 38 and live in a shared house, as I cannot afford to buy my own. This gets me down - a lot! It makes me feel ashamed and that I am unsuccessful. I want my own space to live and work, and so I want to make money in the next 12 months! That is my business plan - pure and simple.
But I don’t know how that can happen-I’m a personal stylist, there’s only one of me. I am feeling resistant to ideas and suggestions. I also want to enjoy what I do while making it, and to be of great service to my clients old and new. And I know I am already though the repeat business and referral rates, and can be to even more. I want to reach more and know I could with some guidance, help and inspiration.
I’m not even sure if the methods suggested will be of use in my kind of business - I don’t want to offer teleclasses on style for example, and i have a feeling thats something that i will be told I have to do..
I know that my own intuition and inner guidance has brought me through a series of links to Kendalls website, and to this event happening in a few weeks time. And I can see in my diary that week I have nothing booked in, so could attend.. but the fact I have nothing booked is a stark reminder that I don’t really have the funds in my business at the moment to pay for an international flight to Arizona, a hotel, and the event. So here I am writing for the chance at the scholarship.
Thank you Kendall for the opportunity, and for reading, and considering me. The act of writing this - midnight on Sunday when I should be asleep - has clarified in my mind where i’m at and why i feel so muddled, unable to sleep lately, and unsatisfied. This always happens to me when i’m about to experience a shift and change…
