Just because you’re busy doesn’t mean you’re making the most OF and FROM your time. All too often, I see women entrepreneurs spending their time on the wrong things, even though they have the purest of positive intentions at heart. The results they typically have to show for all of this time spent are too long of a to-do list, a shortage of high end, high quality clients, long days, late nights and not enough money at the end of the month.

The problem isn’t intention or energy; it’s simply that no one has likely taught you how to INVEST your time, leaving you to figure it out on your own. To top it off, you’re likely modeling the people around you, who are in the same boat, so you haven’t had the teachings, information and examples you need to break out of the entrepreneurial rat race.

If you feel like you end your day with more to do than you got done, then the tips I’m sharing in this article will help you get control of your time and learn how to invest your time in the activities that promise to pay you back with a handsome return on your investment.

Personal realizations are powerful for creating lasting, heart felt change

Okay, I’m going to be REALLY candid here…for years I’ve said that drama is something I only want to see on the page or on the big screen. Meaning, great for entertainment but thank you, no, not a part of my life. I prefer simplicity, peace, order and beauty to the chaos, upset and mess of drama.

So far, so good. Until a couple of weeks ago when I realized that me, the UN-drama queen actually creates her own form of this in her life. Ugh. Personal realizations like this are painful in the moment of awareness, but powerful for creating lasting, heart felt change.

Since that moment of realization I’ve made a list of how I create drama in my life. I included everything from how upset I get when one of my horses has a health challenge to how, at times, I’ll let other peoples’ priorities trump my plans, then get stressed with the need to catch up.

Why am I sharing this “less than perfect picture” of who I am with you? Because I want you to know that self-growth is a journey, not a destination, no matter how successful you become. And, to inspire you to take an honest look at where you create upset, chaos, drama or tension in your life. This includes over booking yourself, answering the demands of others, running late, procrastinating and more.

Remember, how you do one thing is how you do everything. I’ve now raised the bar as to what being drama-free means and am already enjoying a new level of mastery at creating the environment of peace, simplicity and beauty I most enjoy and thrive upon. Now it’s your turn!

Brand New FREE Training Call: Business Growth Secrets

Diamond Goddess member Shelley Riutta (R) and I, on the last day of our Diamond Goddess retreat a couple of weeks ago. Shelley is breaking out of the mold and shifting the paradigm for therapists around the country, with her Holistic Therapy training courses and brand new association she’s launching this week. When you read about what women like Shelley and I are up to, you may be tempted to think we never have a fearful, doubtful or unconfident day. Not so! The difference is that even though we may have those days, we have SUPPORT to help see us through them, with grace, ease and authenticity.

Which is why I HIGHLY recommend you have a mentor in your life who lifts you up, kicks your butt and makes certain you’re staying true to yourself and your vision, even when the way doesn’t seem clear. If it’s not clear to you, it WILL be clear to your mentor, who will be there to support you in creating a breakthrough.

This Week’s Money, Marketing and Soul Article:

“The Secret To Paying Yourself First, Even If Cash Flow Is Tight”

The first few years of being in business, the idea of “paying myself first” sounded insane. It seemed a lot more important to pay my mortgage, my web hosting fees and the telephone bill. You know what I mean, right? But then I noticed that I always felt one step behind in how much I was making. When I peeled back the curtain I realized that by not paying myself it was as if I was saying that “I didn’t count.” I was putting myself so low on the list of financial priorities it was no wonder I never felt like I had any money.

Learn how to pay yourself first, even if cash flow is tight in today’s article I’ve written just for you. And be sure to post a comment on my blog and tell me what you think, okay? Enjoy!

But then I noticed that I always felt one step behind in how much I was making. It seemed as if it was never enough. Plus, I never felt like I had “permission” to buy things I wanted, like new clothes or things for my house.

When I peeled back the curtain I realized that by not paying myself it was as if I was saying that “I didn’t count.” I was putting myself so low on the list of financial priorities it was no wonder I never felt like I had any money.

All that changed when I created my simple “Pay Yourself First” system. And yes, I created this system BEFORE I was making more. Magically, not only did I have the money to pay myself, I quickly began making MORE than I had before, without really doing anything different.

If you’re in the same boat I was, where you always seem to have more “month than you have money” then you MUST read these 3 simple tips right now. They’ll help you pay yourself first, plus help you quickly increase how much you keep each month.
