Is Your Man’s Money Beliefs Holding You Back From Success?

If you’re in a committed relationship then you’ve likely had an argument about money. Add in to the mix that you’re an entrepreneurial woman and arguments about money can magnify in both frequency and intensity.
Studies show that the number one topic couples fight about is money. I’m not surprised, since money is often a mirror for where we give up our power, in addition to mirroring our fear of not having enough. No wonder this is such an emotionally charged topic!
To top it off, if you’re growing you’re business then it’s critical that you invest in training courses, attending events, coaching programs and other activities that your spouse may see as frivolous, when in truth, these are the very activities that will help you leap out of struggle and into success.
So, what’s an ambitious gal to do when she loves her man, doesn’t want to compromise her business growth by holding back, yet doesn’t want to get into another argument over money?

Work on your ability to receive

Women are so afraid of being seen as “greedy” that they stop themselves from doing the one thing that is in Universal harmony with wealth attraction and abundance. I feel I need to speak out about this because what’s happening is that women are jumping right from a place of “I need more to cover my bills/pay for my kids educations/buy some new shoes now and then…” to thinking they’re going to be some kind of horrible person, only motivated by money, hurting others or somehow, abandoning their values.
This breaks my heart, because it tells me that the women who worry about this aren’t trusting themselves. They’re not acknowledging their own power to stand in their truth, no matter what.
If this is you, then let these words reach out to you. Let your heart hear what I’m saying: greed comes from lack and limitation. Greed is about taking, rather than about giving AND receiving. When you both give AND receive, you create a cycle that values everyone. Greed is not a cycle; it’s a one-way street. Greed is a distortion of a woman’s ability (or rather, inability) to receive with gratitude, joy and thankfulness.
So for those women who worry about being “greedy” I say, you need to work on your ability to receive. If the opening through which you receive is so tiny that nearly nothing can get through it, you’ll see receiving as greed. Trust me, it isn’t. The amount of wealth you attract into your life will only be as big as your ability to receive.
