5 Overlooked Reasons Why You Must Charge More!

There is a ritual to raising your fees.
First, you tell yourself you can’t do it. Then you begin to fantasize about what you would do with the extra mon-ney. Finally, you gulp, make your decision and take the plunge.
What can help move you through these phases faster and easier is understanding that there are hidden, guiding principles to raising your fees. Once you know what they are you can move forward powerfully and confidently.
So let’s look at five fee-setting principles to help you raise your fees where they SHOULD be (these are even MORE important to learn if you’re at all worried about the economy):
Principle #1 Clients Think You’re “Hot” When You Charge More
Your clients will be singing that disco song “Hot Stuff” about YOU when you charge more. Why? It’s human nature to value what costs more so why not let that be you?

This Is Always The Risk…

I was supposed to fly to Miami Saturday to attend a coaching retreat I paid a pretty penny to participate in. But when my family told me about Hurricane Fay approaching Florida I was faced with a tough decision.
Do I risk disappointing the people who were expecting me to attend, and stay home where I knew I would be safely out of the storm’s way, or do I board the plane, not knowing what I was flying into or even when I would be able to return home?
Sensibility won out over giving in to peer pressure but it wasn’t without its share of turmoil and distress for me. I hate disappointing people (yes, I freely admit I am a recovering people pleaser!). I really wanted the master mind coaching I would have received if I attended the event. I had paid a great deal of mo-ney to be part of the coaching program and the retreats were an important benefit of the package. Not attending meant giving up a lot.
But attending would have meant giving up even more because doing something just to keep the peace or make others happy never works out well.
Would I have been safe even if I had chosen to attend? Probably. Would I have ended up getting stuck at the Miami airport, waiting along with hundreds of other stranded passengers for a flight home? Quite possibly. I’ll never know for certain.
But what I DO know is that it took tremendous courage for me to stand up for what I knew was right for me, even in the face of disapproval and disappointment from others.
Every time we choose the path of truth, no matter what, we strengthen our courage, 1ncrease our confidence and instantly pull ourselves into alignment with our Soul’s Divine Purpose. So, what is YOUR truth you’re ready to courageously claim this week?

Are You Specialized Enough?

I thought I was specialized until I met equine eye specialist, Dr. Rueben.
Wait until you hear how Dr. Rueben is using the phenomenon of niche marketing and specialization, and how you can model his technique to strengthen your small business marketing and increase your clientele.
Now, most veterinarians are pretty scruffy around the edges. After all, they spend most of their time driving around the county in old, dirt-splattered SUVs and tromping around dusty barns and muddy fields to visit one patient at a time. Oh, and did this horse woman mention that their patients are large, frightened animals that are not feeling well? These sick animals are not too happy to see the vet since all he seems to do is poke and prod them. (And they don’t always associate their healing with his visits.)

Chasing Hurricane Fay…

That’s me and my sweetie husband, Richard, at the end of a “perfect” day! I was SUPPOSED to go to Miami to attend a coaching retreat (you can read about THAT bit of drama below in my Personal Reflections section) but instead, wisely chose to stay in town.
So, Richard and I spent Sunday at a 5-star resort just minutes from our home, planning out the exciting NEW programs and products I want to create for you this year (hint: if you’ve been struggling with money, your fees or marketing on the Internet you’ll love what I have coming out this autumn!). It was SOOO romantic, sitting in this GORGEOUS hotel, watching a summer storm pelt the windows with rain while we Master Minded together. Afterwards, we relaxed even further by going to a fun movie.
