Is Making More Money A
Blessing...Or A Burden?

This may SHOCK you (I know it did me) but many women fear making more money. This fear may not “make sense” or seem logical, but it feels real, which means it must be released in order to move forward powerfully in both your life AND your business.
When I ask women what this fear is about, they tell me that they:
- Worry they won’t know what to do with the money once they have it
- Worry that having more will change their relationship with their significant other, or hamper their ability to attract someone new into their life
- Doubt they’ll be able to hang on to it once they have it, and end up creating their debt all over again
Women, much more so than men, often experience inner conflict between our desire to create a more abundant life, enjoy a yummy lifestyle and treat ourselves to life’s luxuries…with how much we allow to flow into our bank account.
It seems silly when you look at it in the light of day. But in our secret thoughts, these fears are real and can prevent us from breaking free of money patterns we otherwise seemed destined to repeating throughout our life.
So, what can you do? Is it possible to be at peace with making more so that you can view it as an amazing blessing, rather than a troublesome burden?
Here are three strategies for releasing any fear, doubt or concern you may be secretly harboring about becoming richer. By implementing each one you can easily open your “inner door” to greater wealth so that you’re willing and able to take advantage of the many opportunities coming to you via your business.
Strategy #1 Don’t Let Your Past Hold You Back
Hear me out on this: We’ve all made mistakes with money, gotten in over our heads or made decisions we later regretted. You need to forgive yourself and let it go. A mistake is only a mistake if you continue to let it haunt you. It’s not a mistake if you use those past experiences to LEARN something from.
Give yourself credit for being a new and better “you” than you were before. The new you of today knows how to make wiser, smarter money decisions, so what are you waiting for?
Strategy #2 Create A Clear Plan For Your New Money…Even Before You Have It
Instead of worrying that if you have more money you’ll only recreate your debt, etc., decided in ADVANCE what actions you’ll take to keep your new influx of cash. I recommend portioning out some of every dollar towards each of these three categories:
- Paying down debt
- Creating a cushion (savings)
- Improving your lifestyle
Money loves to be paid attention to, so by having a clear plan you’ll be giving it the attention it wants…in a positive way.
Strategy #3 Don’t Compromise Standing In Your Power With Money For The Sake Of Others
I believe that what serves and honors you, serves and honors others. Sure, at first, as you begin to stand in your power with money, those closest to you may prefer you stay exactly as you were. But holding yourself back so that someone else doesn’t feel challenged doesn’t do you any good, and ultimately, doesn’t help them either. Remember that relationships grow when the people in them grow. So, instead of compromising, be willing to stand firm in your commitment to growing your wealth.
Making More Money Is A Blessing When You Use It As A Stepping Stone On Your Spiritual Journey
Money is symbolic of how you are growing and believing in yourself. If you’ve worried about what having more money will “do to you” or to your life, now is the time to start trusting that having more money is part of your spiritual path. And above all, to begin trusting yourself.
