Oh No! Are They
Ignoring Your Emails?

Heart centered entrepreneurs like us often feel in conflict about selling via email.

From a business perspective, nothing could be easier than email marketing. Simply gather a few names and email addresses, pop out a few emails and, voila! You’re making sales.

Hear me out on this: email is STILL the best way to add leverage to your business. But, to get the business boosting response you desire requires that you:

  • Send more emails than you probably feel comfortable with
  • Brush up on your persuasive writing skills
  • Learn how NOT to take your results personally

Is it worth it? Absolutely! It’s super exciting to see, with just a few emails, hundreds of people register for your preview call or dozens sign up for your program.

To help you create these kind of exciting results in your business, here are four tips taken directly from my personal vault of “what works” secrets.

Secret #1 Frequency Out Pulls Proficiency, So Press “Send” More Often (BUT, Always Include This…)

Instead of trying to sell something in your email, give people a reason to buy. How? Start by including WHY you’re offering this particular product or program. Let your emotion show.

For example: If you’re a wellness coach, instead of trying to sell how you’re peeps are going to feel better, give your readers a specific reason to buy, such as how they’ll fit into their skinny jeans for the first time in years.

Secret #2 Write A Can’t-Resist Subject Line

Your email won’t sell if it isn’t read. To help get people excited about seeing you in their inbox I recommend using their name in the subject line.

Another one of my favorite subject line secrets is to ask a question. It instantly captures the attention and interest of your peeps.

Secret #3 Remember, It’s Still All About Relationship

I make it a habit to start each promo email with a personal note letting my readers know what I’m doing at the time of writing the email. No need to go overboard with personal details but people DO appreciate knowing WHO you are, what you’re like, what your hobbies are and a bit about your lifestyle and values.

Secret #4 It Step Up The Pace For Faster Results

Launching just a few things each year doesn’t give you enough momentum to really become a pro at writing emails that sell.

I recommend launching something new every few weeks. Even better, don’t let more than a week or two go by between the end of one campaign and the start of your next one.

Write a free tip sheet, record a 20 minute tips audio, host an information rich call…whatever you do, keep yourself in action so you keep learning and improving your results.

Trade Taking Your Results Personally To Taking Them Simply As Information

Women are too quick to assume “Nobody wants what I have” or “I’m not good enough” simply because their emails didn’t get the response they hoped for.

Ladies, please! Marketing via email is simple. It’s also a skill that anyone can learn. So, ease up on yourself. Look for where you can improve and your next campaign is likely to surprise you with even better results!
